Procrastination is the behaviour of delaying and putting things off when in fact it would be in our interests to take action.
There are many reasons why we might procrastinate: we might be afraid that things won’t turn out as we had hoped; we might believe that we need to feel confident before we can act; we might believe that the action will be too tiresome or difficult or uncomfortable; we may simply have got into a habit of putting things off even if they don’t require much effort (such as paying bills).
Procrastination is not a personality trait that you are stuck with for life – it is a learned behaviour, and one that can be changed.
This audio is designed to help you act decisively and promptly. Regular use of this recording will help you learn to manage the unhelpful beliefs and fears that underpin procrastination, and it will help you overcome the habitual aspects of not acting in a timely manner.
